Yoga Instructor 500hr YTT

Everybody is welcome here and every body can practise yoga. Traditionally, the yoga postures are there to help build a strong and flexible body to enable the practitioner to sit and meditate in stillness. Yes, there are many physical benefits to the practise, but I like to think of them as a positive side-effect. The real journey is learning to find comfort in stillness and to just be.

My classes are inspired by traditional yoga postures, but I’m very aware that each human body is different. I encourage my students to honour their unique physiology and find their own version of the postures. I can show you how to write the letters of the alphabet, but everyone will have their own handwriting.

I incorporate a mindful movement practise and draw from my mindfulness training to deepen the experience and allow you to listen to your mind and body.

I started my yoga journey in 2003 and trained to become a yoga teacher in 2013. I’m constantly learning and taking courses to deepen my personal practice and enrich my teaching. The more I learn, the more I realise there is to learn.

Yoga is practice. You will never ‘finish’ yoga. There’s always further to go, new poses to master or books to read. Once you realise that there’s no destination, you begin to enjoy the journey.

I have been attending Kath's classes since 2016, when I was quite new to yoga. She is an excellent teacher, who is always enthusiastic, patient and supportive. I enjoy her classes and she has given me the confidence to take on challenges that I had previously thought were too difficult.
